Abstract :
The paper proposes a concept of composing flexible in-kernel communication services based on a new microkernel, DYCOS. The prototype implementation of the associated communication architecture shows that frameworks with very different service qualities can easily be built at runtime with comparable or better performance ratios than traditional static protocol stack implementations
