Abstract :
In this paper, a new kind of transmission mechanism, permanent magnetic toroidal drive is presented. In the transmission, the toroidal drive and permanent magnetic meshing are integrated. The basic structure and operating principle of the drive are introduced. And the parameter relationship for the transmission is presented as well. The forces between the planet and the worm or between the planet and the stator for the transmission are analyzed. The magnetic circuits of the stator, worm, planet and the total drive are analyzed. The results are useful in design and manufacture of the transmission.
