Abstract :
We describe a new measurement suitable for processing dynamic light scattering data of nanoparticles in dispersion. The program by the Power Spectrum Density of the scattering light developed in VC++6.0 using a standard photon counting unit, a fast counting board and a PC is presented. The pulses from PMT are counted by Counting Board at a designed sample time. Then the Power Spectrum Density is calculated and the particles´ size is deduced with characteristic decay constant. The method is systematically tested using small polystyrene latex particles with a wide range of particle concentrations as well as different diameters in suspension.
