Abstract :
Vector Control(VC) and Direct Power Control (DPC) of Doubly Fed Induction Generator(DFIG) is studied in this paper. Grid connection and steady state running for DFIG are discussed based on VC and DPC. Two kinds of control strategies of DFIG both have good performance during the cutting-in grid. This paper uses instantaneous reactive power theory of three-phase circuits to the DFIG control. DPC idle load grid-connected control strategy based on grid voltage orientation is proposed. In this paper DPC is used in the steady state to control both active power and reactive power. Based on theoretic analysis the modes of idle load grid-connection and running in ready state are established. The test results validate two kinds of control strategies are good approach for DFIG.
