Abstract :
In the panel session the author will present some lessons learned in energy market monitoring and mitigation with emphasis on the operation of the California Energy markets, and will discuss some related issues of current interest. This paper necessitates the restructuring of electric power industry that will lead to increased efficiency of electricity supply and consumption, along with reduced cost and/or improved quality of service to the end-use consumers.
