Abstract :
In order to improve quality, future HD programmes require high bit rate. At the same time continuously enhancing of the existing and introducing the new techniques of source coding. On the other hand, channel coding and utilization of RF channel is being improved. This paper investigates how many HD programmes, in formats expected for the near future, may be placed in DVB-T2 multiplex, calculated in line with the expected enhancements.
