Abstract :
A brief overview of the GSM (CEPT´s Groupe Special Mobile) base station system (BSS) is given. The equipment needed to support this network entity and the specification of the equipment are presented. The use of the BSS equipment specification is described and the testing of the GSM base station systems is discussed. BSS network functions are outlined and the A-bis-interface is described
