Abstract
The paper deals with current technologies used for wind turbines in insuring integrating wind farms into the grid, in particular weak grids. The paper starts with a short history as background for the treatment of the technologies. Wind turbine technology in relation to grid has evolved much in 20 years of modern grid connected wind turbines. The newest technology can support and improve grid issues. In the future good dialogue between grid owners and various generation forms are essential to ensure best practice to be used
