Abstract :
The authors present an approach to determine optimal reduced order models for time-invariant large-scale discrete-time systems. The reduced order models are obtained by minimizing a steady state error criterion. These reduced order models retain the modes that mostly affect a set of desired variables. Expressions for the reduced order models are obtained.<>
