Abstract :
The method of convex projections is reviewed. The method is a powerful image-processing algorithm that uses existing data and prior knowledge to recover an image that is superior to that allowed by the data alone. A particular way of reconstructing high-resolution images from coarse detector data by using an algorithm that allows the incorporation of prior information in addition to the coarse data is proposed
