Abstract
The issue of harmonic filtering has received considerable attention. Although various strategies of harmonic filtering have been proposed, there is still some confusion regarding the preferable solution. In this paper, a comparative analysis of the filtering strategies, for a pure shunt active filter, is carried out. The analysis is based on frequency-domain techniques and includes the various nonidealities which appear in a real system. All analytical arguments are corroborated with experimental results. For exclusive load compensation purposes, the preferred solution is indicated
