Abstract :
As the existence of diverse network technologies, QoS signaling is needed to guarantee the end-to-end QoS for users in complex network environment. Compared with the previous QoS signaling with resource reservation, NSIS (next steps in signaling) proposed by IETF is better in flexibility and scalability. This paper proposes a new mobility-aware scheme for QoS NSLP (NSIS signaling layer protocol) in NSIS. As the proposed scheme combines the QoS NSLP with FMIPv6, the resource needed in new path can be reserved advance before MN moves into a new domain. The results show that the proposed scheme can not only shorten the delay for re-reservation after handover, but also reduce the signaling cost for re-reservation.
