Abstract :
Multi-hop Wi-Fi has drawn intensive attention in Building Automation Systems, in that it overcomes the single-hop range limitation of the traditional Wi-Fi network, and gives an opportunity for effective meshing network. In this paper, we are going to use mathematical models to characterize a multi-hop Wi-Fi network. A multi-hop network is set up using a couple of Wi-Fi repeaters. We have conducted some measurements on this system to analyze the performance of this router-formed multi-hop Wi-Fi network.
