Abstract :
Recently, the authors in [Huynh, V. N., Y. Namkamori (2005)] have introduced a formal notion of linguistic hierarchies in terms of ordered structure based semantics of the linguistic term sets for managing any hierarchical kind of multigranular sets of linguistic labels. In this paper, we develop a linguistic decision model based on the 2-tuples linguistic representation for MEDM in general multigranular linguistic contexts. This model allows us to associate a linguistic evaluation at the end of the decision process, instead of a real-valued choice function as developed in [Huynh, V. N., Y. Namkamori (2005)]. Consequently, this also allows us to consider different aggregation models and different selection processes for MEDM in general multigranular linguistic contexts.
