  • Abstract
    A topical review is given concerning CMOS-based DNA microarrays. Considering the entire application chain, functionalization techniques, required CMOS process extensions and consequences, and a number of readout techniques are discussed. Related circuit design issues and CMOS implementations are highlighted as well.
