Abstract :
According to the power spectral characteristics of Direct Sequence Spread Spectrum (DS/SS) signal, an algorithm based on Welch method was developed for fast blind estimation of carrier frequency and main lobe width. Simulation results show that this algorithm can estimate carrier frequency more accurately and main lobe width roughly when Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR) is down to -19 dB. Comparing with Welch method, it has significantly improved the accuracy of carrier frequency estimation.
