  • Abstract
In this paper a significant improvement of the C-PFM multiplexing and reading technique for fiber Bragg grating sensors (FBGs) is introduced and experimentally validated. Compared to ordinary time division multiplexing (TDM) the C-PFM technique is able to give a far better space resolution for an equal pulse duration, but can be improved further in terms of crosstalk between successive FBGs responses by means of a clever pulse windowing as it will be explained in the following. Experimental data confirming this theory will be showed and discussed.
