  • Abstract
    Local IP access (LIPA) is a new function raised in the 3GPP H(e)NB research area. This function is suggested to apply not only in H(e)NB, but also in the macro system. The LIPA is becoming a more generic terminology and is supposed to (has the ability) to be utilized in more and more areas in telecommunication system. Therefore, the paper is focused on the design of the H(e)NB architecture and the solutions on how to support the mobility management for the LIPA feature.
