Abstract
The purpose of this paper is to identify learners´ perceptions of online learning. Five hundred forty-one participants were asked to respond a survey consisting items regarding learners´ perceptions. Four factors (course management, communications, flexibility, course design) regarding learners´ perceived quality of online courses were determined in this study. The study looked at the role of certain factors related to learners´ perceptions of online courses. To improve learners´ satisfaction in online courses, educators and instructional designers in Taiwan are encouraged to offer flexible online learning environments and strengthen course designs to fit online learners´ needs.
