Abstract :
A versatile distribution system simulator is developed which replicates the behaviour of a distribution network as viewed from a computer based control centre. It provides a rigorous test environment for testing of distribution automation software before on-line implementation, training distribution operation staff and serves as an essential tool for teaching concepts of power distribution system operations to engineering students
