  • Abstract
This paper studies hydraulic analysis of a water distribution system with a break, and the effects of position and extent of a break on monitoring node pressure are discussed through numerical examples. It is shown that the effect of a small break on the water pressure variation is low, but the effect is high for a large break. This analysis can be used for estimation of influence area due to a break.
