Abstract :
The policies developed in Spanish universities for integrating ICT into instruction does not threaten the dominant higher education transmission model (despite expectations for the development and implementation of European Higher Education Areas). In this paper we look at how faculty perceive institutional support for platform use, the training they receive, and the opportunities presented to reorient faculty training towards reflection, enquiry and improvement of practices rather than solely training them in the mechanics of using these technologies and platforms. The study we are presenting at this meeting was carried out from June 2006 to April 2007 by 11 Spanish universities and was funded by the Ministry of Education´s program.
