  • Abstract
Cognitive radio network has received increasing attention in recent few years. A unique challenge for routing in cognitive radio networks is the collaboration between the route selection and spectrum decision. To solve this problem, a Spectrum-aware Cluster-based routing protocol (SCRP) is proposed where a spectrum-cluster is built in each spectrum band in this paper. The formation of the spectrum-cluster considers the cooperation between spectrum decision and route selection in an efficient way. In addition, a fast and efficient spectrum-adaptive route recovery method is proposed which is suitable for cognitive radio network specially. Simulation results show that, compared to other approaches, the proposed SCRP shortens the average end-to-end delay significantly and improve the average throughput with less control overhead.
