Abstract :
This paper is to study the subchannel interference cancellation for GERAN/VAMOS systems. Joint channel estimation and mono interference cancellation (MIC) are used to mitigate the intra-cell interference especially when the two VAMOS subchannels use the different transmit power. Simulation results show that the proposed joint channel estimation and MIC algorithms can reduce the intra-cell interference and improve the voice traffic channel condition of VAMOS systems.
