Design of distance education system on the basis of Scorm and IMS-LD specifications

In order to design a system that supports different teaching approaches, standardized courseware, real-time personalized learning environment and record and analysis of learning process, this article analyzes the SCORM, IMS-LD specifications and the characteristics of distance education in China. Moreover, based on the analysis and combining with the practice of Chinese distance education, a distance education system model is designed, which absorbs advantages from both SCORM and IMS-LD, tries to meet the requirements of different teaching patterns and resolve problems in learning process.
