Abstract
The PANDA experiment is one of the key projects at the future FAIR facility, which is under construction at GSI, Darmstadt. It will study the annihilation reactions of antiprotons, circulating in a high luminosity storage ring, with nucleons of a fixed target. Thus, a broad range of open physics questions in strong QCD can be tackled including the spectroscopy of charmonium states and the search for exotic states.
