Abstract :
The paper describes Monte Carlo simulations for a gamma photon tracker constructed from several layers of a pixelated semiconductor detector. Calculations determined the detection efficiency and the angular resolution which are parameters well describing the tracker sensitivity and the accuracy of the source position reconstruction, respectively. The influence of various modifications of the design and parameters of the semiconductor detector are investigated.
