Abstract :
We construct unequal error protection (UEP) convolutional codes. Essentially, the construction is performed by `searching´ as well as finding the best codes in ordinary convolutional codes. Since the encoder of a UEP convolutional code has more than one information inputs in usual sense, the code search is not so easy as that for low rate convolutional codes. We apply two-step code search algorithm based on code search of low rate convolutional codes
