  • Abstract
    The characteristic of broadband satellite communication system is introduced simply and the significance of channel simulator is analyzed. The broadband satellite channel model is established which puts on emphasis upon the effects of power amplifier nonlinearity, rain attenuation and propagation delay. Finally the hardware implementation of a kind of broadband satellite channel simulator was given, which can simulate the bit error rate (BER) and propagation delay characteristic.
