Abstract :
The chaotic responses observed from a periodically forced neural-type oscillator introduced by R.W. Newcomb et al. are discussed. Describing the circuit dynamics by an autonomous equation, the author derives a one-dimensional return map explicitly and therefore can prove a sufficient condition of chaos generation in the sense of Lasota and Yorkes. The mapping procedure is valid for various other systems and seems to contribute to their design
