Abstract :
We propose classes of generalized concatenated codes for byte error-control. Generalized concatenated codes have been proposed by Zinov´ev. The classes proposed here contain not only linear codes but also nonlinear codes. We also have simple modifications from the codes described to byte error-locating codes such as Fujiwara-Kitakami codes
