Abstract :
This work describes the concepts of a boost pre regulator for power factor correction. The emphasis is given for the boost power circuit models and the specification for the control methods and techniques. A new approach for the error signal is introduced and the corresponding proportional controllers are employed. This study aims to show the importance of a detailed model description for control design
