Abstract :
A model of discrete event system is proposed based on controlled Petri net, and a new method of analyzing a certain type of artificial system is presented. The basic model of the proposed method and the general processes of analyzing a given system are described in detail. This method is applied to analyze the work processes of a diesel engine control system when starting a diesel engine. Firstly, the system is modeled by the given discrete event system. Secondly, the discrete event system model is described in a form of the given controlled Petri net. Then, the incidence matrix and state equation are dealt with matrix operations, which mean that the work processes of the system can be described by running the controlled Petri net and dealing with the incidence matrix and state equation. The results indicate that this type of artificial system can be modeled and analyzed by using the given method exactly and effectively.
