Abstract
We propose a layer 2 routing and forwarding scheme called multi-meshed tree (MMT) routing for MANETs connected to Internet. The specifications for this scheme were drawn from unique features of Internet MANETs. We evaluate this scheme for joining delays experienced by mobiles, end-to-delay frame delivery delays and upstream and downstream data throughput. We present analytical and simulation models. Results presented show the superior performance of the scheme.
