Abstract
This paper shows how an innovative service for the consultation of cartographical data was realized, based on GIS technology and mobile phones through a packet-switched mobile network and interconnected to the Internet. In particular some e-government institutional services tourism-oriented, able to provide geo-referenced information, have been implemented
