Abstract :
Investigation results of electric-arc plasmatron with inter-electrode insertion are presented. It is shown that symmetrical temperature and velocity profiles of plasma jet are typical for this plasmatron. The feed of protection gas in front of the nozzle-anode provides a significant increase in its service life.
