  • Abstract
    Within the CALICE collaboration for the design of a calorimeter for the International Linear collider (ILC), a collection of UK groups (CALICE-UK) have proposed an R&D programme for the design of the data acquisition (DAQ) system. A DAQ will be developed starting from generic design principles and aiming at the use of commercial components where possible. It is for generic use, with a modular and scalable architecture.
