Abstract
The paper presents a practical method of design (stage of type synthesis) of vehicle suspensions. The method refers to upgrade of function-generating mechanisms that are main structural members of the suspensions. The method is a universal tool to reveal and realize in full the effect of ldquonegativerdquo stiffness, and without destroying the structure of the suspension of any type. Just the suspensions with ldquonegativerdquo stiffness enable improving the vibration isolation especially in the most harmful and dangerous infra frequency range that is unsolvable with a regular suspension. One may use the method in upgrading the suspensions for chassis, cab mount, engine mounting, seat and other types in a vehicle.
