Abstract
A new recognition method based on the field of induction is proposed. This method is based on observations of the field as well as on psychological and physiological knowledge. To adapt this method for use with handwritten characters, it is necessary to determine its ability to identify these characters. It is clarified that this method has a good ability to identify handwritten characters
