Abstract :
Semantic interoperability is currently one of the most challenging topics in health information area. Context agreement between physicians is needed in case that a patient has to consult a variety of physicians for the treatment of one medical problem. To support semantic interoperability, identical syntactic representation is also considered. This study solves the semantic interoperability problem based on health information standard. HL7 v3 and CDA entry is well known for the formal health information model that defines the conceptual classes to map healthcare environment and resources. CDA entry provides the basis of the formalization of medical information related clinical statement. This study proposes the method of processing CDA entry for semantic interoperability, and describes how to analysis entries and extract the data items.
