Abstract
The paper presents the results of numerical calculation and experimental investigation of the current and power density distributions and the temperature field produced in the cross-section of a curvilinear tube heated by direct resistance. The variations during heating of the main process parameters and the influence of the supply current intensity and the position of a U-shaped magnetic yoke are also investigated.
