Abstract
An alternative possibility of accurate control of position is presented. Its principle consists in thermoelastic effect produced by induction heating. The authors describe the proposed device, solve its mathematical model and discuss its operation properties. Its application is illustrated on an example of laser technology - cutting of very thin groves.
