Abstract
An experiment / pilot to improve emission factor of the mobile transport carried out and the below results came up. For transportation sector inventory, we found that major user of the fuels in 1990 was auto-transportation. But this condition has changed and by 1996 the biggest user of fuels became the machinery and vehicles that used in mining sites using about 40 per cent of overall diesel consumption. Estimation of emissions from mobile sources is a very complex undertaking, which requires consideration of many parameters, including transport class fuel consumed, operating characteristics, emission controls, maintenance procedures, fleet age etc.
