  • Abstract
Simulation-experimental investigation of heat and mass transfer in a gas-permeable material with oxygen hemosorption in pores and phase transition in application to operation of solid solar accumulator is suggested. The problem statement considering radiation-convective heat transfer in the material is offered, and the method of solution is described. Experimental results on thermal capacity of activated powders were used for calculation of heat and mass transfer in a gas-permeable material. The non-stationary temperature field was calculated in a flat layer of material with different activation degrees. It is shown that an increase in activation degree decreases the heating rate and enlarges the amount of accumulated heat. The effect of material porosity on temperature field formation is determined.
