Abstract :
The method of parallel processing for two-dimensional recursive filters on multiprocessor systems is studied. Recursive filtering is sequential and global. The global processing is decomposed into space segmentation processing with a few global communications. An efficient hardware algorithm for two-dimensional recursive filtering is derived using Roeser´s model, and the speedup rate, efficiency, and degradation are studied
