Abstract :
Loss reduction by balancer is subject to (1) 4-wires extension length and (2) volume of balancer current. The latter means extent of load imbalance among 3-phases. Ger area seems pertinent for balancer deployment. Apartment area is relatively kept balance and wire-length is short and wire size is large letting resistance low. The table below shows outcome of the theoretical calculation of loss reduction possibilities by balancer; Among the sample 12 feeders, 3 feeders in Ger area which are conspicuous for loss reduction and are best suited for balancer. The selection rate is 25% (3 feeders out of 12 feeders in total) and 50% (3 feeders out of 6 feeders) in Ger area.
