Abstract :
This presentation will highlight the versatility of solid-state Raman lasers, with emphasis on two major advances. I will report recent work on diode-pumped cw intracavity Raman lasers, and describe how the cascaded nature of SRS can be utilised to generate wavelength-selectable output in the visible spectrum.
