Abstract :
A previous way of generating the so-called non-transitive chain from fuzzy subsets using rough set theory (T. Murai et al., 1997, 1998) can only be applied to rational-valued fuzzy subsets. In this paper, an algorithm for generating a non-transitive chain is first described. Then, the algorithm is applied to real-valued fuzzy subsets adopting approximation in the usual sense
