Abstract :
The designers of manipulating devices must take into account wide range of possible environmental conditions that can affect their devices in the form of disturbances which must be rejected by proper mechanical and control system. This paper describes pan/tilt device which is able to face hostile environmental conditions we can find in naval or military applications. The proposed control system fulfills expectations in the field of accuracy, resolution and repeatability and it is able to cope with disturbances of various frequencies and amplitudes.
