Abstract :
Smart metering is a modern topic with a rapid and continuous development. Smart metering offers the advantages of software running systems in measuring and managing the building utilities such as: energy, water, gas etc. The advantages of the smart metering concept are: low metering costs, energy efficiency, possibility to use variable pricing schemes, easier detection of the fraud, remote control and possibility to tailor the consume scheme to the needs of the consumer. This paper presents the portal of a smart metering system found at the consumer level. It does not depend on the type of meters and neither on the wireless communication implementation. It can be accessed from anywhere by the authorized users.
